Singapore, safe or not??

Last Sunday, I went to my Grandpa's house right after church service. After having dinner, I sat on the sofa, feeling pretty bored cos I had nothing to do. I just stared into space, literally... My dad, mom, as well as my Aunt were chit-chatting at the dining table. Then, I heard the word 'loan sharks'! I was taken aback as I listened to their conversation.
Apparently, some loan sharks had mistaken my Grandpa's house for one of their debtors. As usual, they would splash red or black paint all over the door. My Aunt reported this disturbing case to the police. Their attitude was horrible! They just told her to buy a CCTV. And they said something like, you have to help us look out for suspicious looking people, ok? Now what? They are pushing all the responsibility on us when we are seeking them for help? What is the meaning of that??? This whole thing concerns the safety of the people living in my Grandpa's house and all they could say is, buy a CCTV??? Outrages!
Also, my Aunt had to pay hundreds of dollars to pay for the painting of the doors and walls outside her house when the housing government had specifically said that anything outside the apartment is not our property, making the government in charge of the painting!
Everyone always says that Singapore is a very safe place, but is it?................

I have had my mouth ulcer for almost a week and there is still no sign of recovering. Instead, it is getting biger and bigger and becoming more and more unbearable!!! I can't even enjoy my mushroom swiss burger in BK for lunch just now! The pain is just sooo excruciating!!! I should have stayed away from all those haety and fried food earlier! Oh, how I regret no having done so! I am just so upset right now!! awwwwwwwww.
Anyway, I really hope that it will recover before I travel to Malaysia to sink my teeeth into a whole lot of mouth-watering food! 所谓:经一事,长一智,now that I have learnt my precious lesson, I would try my very best not to eat too much fried and heaty food and start leading a healthier lifestyle!

Does looks really matter?

Everytime I look into the mirror only to see that my looks aren't even comparable to some celebs, I would sigh dejectedly and ask myself why on earth I look like that. But then I asked myself, does looks really matter?

Well, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. For some people, looks are very important, while for others they look for the beauty of the heart. For me, I think looks does matter, especially now that we live in a superficial world, where although we don’t always like it, those who have more appealing looks have more advantages as compared to those who are simple and not as good looking.

Look at Megan Fox for instance. Do you think that she would have all the fame and money she’s having today if not for her attractive and appealing looks? No! Celebs, actresses and artistes get all their fame and money from their outer beauty and not from having a big heart for others (at least most of them would).

Now, let’s look at Zoe Tay. Ten-twenty years ago, she was one of the prettiest actresses and was often on the cover page of magazines. She was popular because of her looks. However, after she grew older, started to have wrinkles and became a mother, she no longer had the fame she used to have. (Sorry, no offence)

Also, having bad looks may affect your self-esteem and may make you feel left out especially when you’re with people with good looks. Sometimes, you may also be discriminated due to your “different” look. And although it’s not a fair thing to do, many people choose their friends based on their looks.

Further more, it’s an undeniable fact that good looks matter greatly when choosing one’s life partner. Without good looks, one will not be able to attract the opposite sex and may have a hard time getting a life partner.

Having said all these, it doesn’t mean that personality does not matter. In fact, personality dominates looks! Unfortunately, we are living a superficial world, where justice and fairness is not always upheld. Nevertheless, you must always remember that outer beauty will vanish someday whereas the beauty of the heart is imperishable. Therefore, regardless of where you come from, how you look like, you must always believe that you are beautiful.

Wow! I'm starting to think that my looks aren't that bad at all! I just have to lose some kilos and I'll be as charming as........ Megan Fox?.........Angelina Jolie?........Na, just joking! Hahas....

Always remember, no matter what u look like, no matter where u are from, just believe in yourself and make the best of everything that you have. Be positive and who knows? a guy might just be attracted to your smile!
Good luck!

My tooth dropped!!!

OMG!!! My tooth had just dropped a few minutes ago! Well this was how it all happened......

At about 3 hours ago, I ate three samosas that my mum had bought from her office, Prudential. It was so 'mamalicious'!!! Then, "CRACK"! My back tooth cracked! It was sooooooo loose that it was like, dangling in my mouth! The blood was flowing non-stop! I had to rinse my mouth a thousand times before the blood had stopped flowing. Then, at a few minutes ago, while I was searching for a movie time slot to watch with my great friend, my tooth dropped onto my tongue! Wow! I was soooooooo glad that it had fallen tonight instead of dropping tomorrow at school where I am sure all my friends would be laughing at me. I am so thankful that my tooth had dropped just before my sleep time. Yay! Now, time for some peaceful sleep. Nite, nite and sweet dreams....

3 whacky beauty tips! OMG!

While surfing the Internet, I've found some interesting and whacky beauty tips that I  would like to share with u. It is really interesting and will blow your mind away!

Give your hair some shine
Whacky solution: mix some vinegar with water and soak your dry hair in it. Leave it on for approximately 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Before you know it, your hair will be glistening in the sun.

Smoothen your dry and rough skin
Pick out some ripe avocados and mash them up into a bowl after removing the skin and pit. Mix it up well and you will end up with a lotion-like texture. Slather it all over your body and let it set for about 20 minutes before rinsing off.
Get pearly white teeth
Strawberries are the perfect remedy for stained teeth as they contain malic acid, a natural stain remover. Try rubbing the strawberries directly onto your teeth or throwing some into a bowl and mashing them up into a paste before using a toothbrush to brush it on. Leave it on for about five minutes before rinsing off.

Well, I've yet to try these whacky beauty tips but I am pretty sure it will work. Why not give it a try and tell me your results!

Stressed out by PSLE!

Wow! After a long and stressing period of time, exams are finally over!!! I've all my results finalized and am proud to have done well for both english (1st in the whole Primary 6 level) and mathematics(1st in class)! I am really both ecstatic and proud to have gotten all As for my subjects.

Still, I ought not be so happy until after my PSLE. I'm really nervous for the PSLE. It's my final year and I really hope to get into a good secondary school. I plan to go to SST (School of Science and Technology Singapore). I do hope to get above 260 for my PSLE and make my teachers and parents proud. Do you have any tips for scoring well in my final year examination cos I'm really nervous and stressed?

Food problem

In Singapore, we have many, many delicious foods. As I have got a great appetite, I’ve tried almost every popular and tasty food there is in Singapore. Trust me, you’re gonna love the taste of it. You can imagine yourself right now, sinking your teeth into these mouth-watering foods. Well, we have hokkien mee, char kuew teow, rojak, hor fun, mee goreng and so much more!

However, talking about all those irresistible foods, you also will have to watch out for your health. Do you know that one third of the Singaporeans are overweight? I guess it’s because they can’t resist the good food and eat at much as the want to and can’t control themselves. That is a problem that I face when wanting to lose some kilos. I just give in to temptation! It was a horrible feeling when I see people eating their food with great relish while I have to just stare at them, smelling the aroma of the foods, so, I just ate. And when I eat, I eat more, more, and more! I’m 155cm (height), and am already slightlyoverweight!
But, in all things you do, there is a consequence. For me, eating too much has made me “not slim”. Well, I guess the lesson learnt here is that, resist temptation (good foods), and not to overeat. I’m trying to change my overeating habit, but I don’t know how. Do u have any suggestions? (no going on diet cos you’ll gain more weight than you lost when u stop dieting.)
